World of Warcraft supports a fairly comprehensive macroing system in the game, and additionally allows creation of Addons to customize the WoW client in various ways. These macros generally come with Descriptions that help explain their function. That is no longer recommended, since it makes it hard for you to find your WoW Macros and decide who should have them.

Dynamic Macros are those that include variables. Any of the pre-defined variables can be used anywhere in your Macro, and will be replaced for the final Macro with the desired value. Conditional Macros are those that may include or omit lines depending on available conditions. Conditions are resolved at the time the ISBoxer Addon is generated, when you Export to Inner Spaceso when using ATG groups, the character will need to be in the group at the time of export.

Conditionals are comprised of keywords or operators, and strings enclosed in quotes. Strings are resolved contextually, based on the operators used on them, as a Character, a Character Set, or an Action Target Group. If no operator is used on the string, it is resolved as a Character.

Variables may be used in the strings, but this should not be necessary under normal circumstances. These are not case sensitive, but using lower case for keywords is recommended for clarity.

Character strings can use certain special words to grab a specific Character, by Slot number, or for the current Character. This can also be done using variables. Operators are processed in order of precedence, to arrive at the final result of the conditions true or false. This means that if operators are not manually grouped with parentheses, grouping is implied by order of precedence.

Conditions may be applied on a per-line basis. Conditional state from the previous line is kept in order to handle chaining, however no nesting is allowed, and there are no code blocks see the description of!

Macro conditionals

This is handy for warriors, priests, monks, and druids especially. First off, stance and form are exactly the same. Use whichever one you want, form is shorter so may help if you are writing complicated Wow macros. That macro will only cast the spell if you are in that particular stance or form. Your normal toon form is form:0 zero. Since you now know how to tell what form you are in, you can combine spells into one button that change the icon and what they do automatically depending on what stance you are in.

Its really simple to combine spells like below:. With more and more spells for each class, its hard to fit them all in to the easy-to-click keybinds, so players are relying on macros more than ever to improve their gameplay and help them PWN more noobs.

The problem I have encountered is that it doesn't seem to work when used in a conditional statement.

Well no, it wouldn't. Conditional directives in spec files are evaluated by rpmbuildnot by a shell. That's natural, because the the text other than the conditional directives is handled as input to a shell.

That shell performs command expansion on the result of RPM's macro expansion. You cannot use such an approach to modulate which files are installed based on installation-host characteristics. This generally makes sense only for probing characteristics for which you expect every supported installation target to exactly match the build host, or where it is only the details of the build host that matter. macro commands and conditionals

First of all, there is a question, what is a macro? Something like the following:. With macros, these commands can be used from action buttons, and many of them can be used at once. Each unique command goes on its own line and is written exactly as it would be typed it in the chat box. Open up the macro window. General macros are stored on an account-by-account basis and are shared by all your characters.

Immediately under the tabs is a grid of 18 boxes where the macros are displayed. Below that is the edit box where you actually type the macro. Finally, at the bottom you have a number of self-explanatory buttons. This brings up another small window off to the side where you choose the icon and type a name for the macro. If you choose the question mark iconWoW will automatically pick an icon for your macro based on what spells or items are listed in the macro.

Once you have chosen an icon and a name, click the Ok button. Although you can name two macros the same. Now you will notice that the macro icon you chose has been added to the 18 boxes mentioned earlier. The newly created macro will also be selected so now it's time to start writing your macro. Click in the edit box of the macro window to start typing.

When you are done typing your macro, click the Save button, drag the macro's icon from the grid and place it on an action button. Take our multi-spell macro from earlier as an example:. With this macro, WoW chooses Arcane Power for the feedback.

However, this is probably not what you really want. The main point of this spell is to cast Pyroblast. You can make the button behave as if Pyroblast were the first spell by adding the following line to the top of the macro:. If you used the question mark icon for the macro, the button will even have the icon of Pyroblast without any extra effort on your part.

In fact, if you choose the question mark icon I mentioned earlier, the action bar will even show the icon for SW. Many times, you will find yourself casting a series of spells or use certain items in the same order on pretty much any mob you fight.Forgot your password?

ElvUI is a complete replacement for the default User Interface. Not only is this a popular AddOn among top players, but we here at Icy Veins use it for all our characters. ElvUI eliminates most of the inefficiencies of the Blizzard interface, which are many and varied.

It is extremely user friendly, and takes very little time to set up and master. It also comes already furnished with almost everything you need; unit frames, raid frames, minimap, buffs and debuffs, and much more. You can easily unlock and drag all the components around so your UI will look exactly the way you want it to. ElvUI is clean, easy to use, and a great starting point for your UI.

Weak Auras is the most important AddOn for players seeking to master their class and take their gameplay to new heights. If you aspire to do any Mythic raiding, this is the most powerful tool in your kit.

Weak Auras allows you to display helpful visuals cues anywhere on your screen, which enable you to play better. Most players use it to track their trinket procs, highlight on screen displays of their most important cooldowns, or track the timers of boss mechanics.

It is highly customisable and makes keeping track of your procs and cooldowns effortless. The drawback of Weak Auras is that is has a bit of a learning curve and isn't the most user friendly. Weak Auras allows you to import other players data directly into their UI, however, and most players choose to simply import other people's Weak Auras rather than make their own.

Weak Auras can be used to create just about anything you can imagine, as it is a LUA scripting tool essentially an AddOn that creates other AddOns, in-game. This is by far the most essential AddOn for players looking to step into Mythic raiding. Boss Mods are helpful pre-made timers that allow you to keep track of the noteworthy mechanics in any given encounter.

Usually they come equipped with helpful prompts, visuals, and sounds to ensure you don't miss anything important. BigWigs is the best boss mod available currently. It is extremely customizable, allowing you to change what is displayed on an individual boss level and how boldly you want each alert customized. BigWigs is typically the most accurate and periodically updated of the available Boss Mods.

It doesn't require any setup at all, though there are a dizzying array of options and customizations should you wish to personalize your setup.OP here to necro the post with an update.

You might find yourself in a situation where you have two offhand weapons with the same name but different poisons on them and you want to switch between them quickly.

Or perhaps you just want to alternate between two offhand weapons with just one hotkey. This is a two macro system, One macro to cast Tricks of the Trade and another to set the target of that macro. This macro allow for high burst damage while keeping the opponent stunned. Works best with [Vigor] and [Filthy Tricks] as they allow for two Ambushes with the reduced energy cost. This macro stuns the target, quickly damages them for around health at 80, and then opens them for attack.

Similar to Backstabber, but focuses on interrupting spells and bringing in high damage, very effective against healers. Use every ability refreshed by Preparation except Shadowstep. Remove the nocombat condition on Vanish for PvP.

The macros below this line have not been validated to work in 3. They should be tested and moved to the appropriate section above. Cancels Blessing of Protection automatically when you are trying to cast Hemorrhage on the enemy. One button, one press to: Mount an appropriate mount if not mounted. Dismount and drop into stealth if you are not flying, but do it anyway if you have an enemy target.

Lacking a conditional test for how far above the ground you are, this seems the best balance of combat function vs. If you have 2 of these equipped, you can activate whichever is out of cooldown with a macro like this. If the first listed item is on cooldown, the macro will use the second. The following macro will automatically activate your trinkets for you. It's not a good idea to add abilities that cost energy like Adrenaline Rush or which might break crowd control like Blade Flurry.

The rather elaborate-looking code simply clears any errors or error sounds such as "That item isn't ready yet" produced by the trinkets being on cooldown. A very primitive way to bypass the restrictions. You have to mash this non-stop and it works fine. This will cast Sinister Strike on the first press, and on the next press, Riposte. The macro resets in 1 second. The problem with this macro is that you have to Sinister Strike before you can Riposte. This will cast Sinister Strike on a normal click, and when Riposte becomes available, right-click to use Riposte.

This works like a lot of trinket macros I have used, you get the "not ready" message a lot, but it casts Riposte every time it is available, otherwise Sinister Strike. Note: As of at least 2. See here.

This switches to your dagger, casts Pick Pocket if you are stealthed, Backstabthen switches back to your original setup. Note that this macro requires that you have autoloot enabled, or an addon such as AutoLootPocket [1]. This is to switch to your highest DPS, slowest dagger to Mutilatethen back to your standard sword. Note: Only thing with this is that switch weapons invokes the Global Cooldown. And it resets the swing timer which might not make this even useful.

This will Backstab if you have a dagger in your mainhand, or Sinister Strike if you have a fist weapon. This is useful for situations such as the Flame Wreath in the Shade of Aran encounter where you have to spend prolonged periods in front of a mob unable to move behind it to Backstab.
